On finiteness and eternity
It's not the first time I encountered human sadness about finiteness of states around us.
We get to know with someone and shortly after that we feel sadness about for example the person's plans to move out in couple of years. Or often even more intense - we wish for eternity in our relationships, anything else causing us anxiety.
It feels like eternity is always superior to finiteness, like states in world around us are unchanging constants, including human as being that will wish and be happy with the same states again and again.
But I believe world around us is never ending process including human. Unfortunately, perhaps we often suffer because of our ability to think about past and future.
